ABOUT LIONS CLUB

Lions Club International

Service is more than the sum of our collective deeds — it is the wellspring of our heart. As Lions and Leos, we serve to see our communities inspired, equipped, and transformed. We believe that even the greatest challenges can be overcome by the power of kindness.

When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.

The Market Rasen Lions Club are pleased to announce that we have received sponsorship from various companies and an individual to enable us to build a new Sleigh for Santa to be ready for him next Christmas. We would like to say a big thank you to Julie Day, Travis Perkins, Plastic Online and LEDWorker for the supply of materials. We are still in need of 72m of 6mm bright steel rod to make the 2 life size 3D Reindeer if any anyone can sponsor us that would be great. Every year we take Santa around Market Rasen, for the Children to meet Santa on his sleigh but lately his sleigh was looking a bit tired and Santa asked us to build him a new one. We love it when we see the children get all excited waiting for Santa to arrive and we want to make something special for this and many years to come. During our walk round Market Rasen with Santa we receive donations towards our many charitable causes. Follow our story through the stages of building his Sleigh on our website https://www.marketrasenlionsclub.co.uk/index.php/__trashed-3/
